A specific campaign within the square mileage and borders of Baltimore, MD, designed to combat a rampant drug culture and otherwise “unconventional” way of existence. This current state of power, money, and happiness simultaneously angers, frustrates, and champions the people of Baltimore, who choose to share these sentiments with the World.
Sending responses to Seattle, Washington and Milwaukee, Wisconsin attempts to further draw a connection between socio-economic status and crime rates. Seattle, WA being a fairly affluent city with a low crime rate, and Milwaukee, WI being a fairly impoverished city with a high crime rate.
This poster acts as a vehicle for a public message. The message is one of melancholy, content, and a satisfaction many people can and will achieve. Edgar Allen Poe is one of America's great writers of passed. Though never achieving financial success and riddled by a life of competition, competitors, and struggle; Poe and many people since have sought one common thread; fame and fortune. Generally speaking, nothing changes.
